The Watcher has noticed, over many years of watching Leigh, that the crowd very rarely make a poor opposition player the target of their abuse. So in a way it is a compliment to Brierley that he finds himself in this position. The one notable exception was of course Nanyn when he played for Widnes.

It must of taken Ryan some strength take to the field under these upsetting circumstances but it's clear to see through his rugby he's got a heart of a lion. My deepest condolences to Ryan & his family.
