its gonna be dear if you go mainstream... as in places like london or any other main city in europe... we bought from a supermarket 6 bottles for 3 euros... bargain anywhere... at least we won... :p

lived here in London a few years now, prices thing is a myth.

The house prices are expensive and that's it unless you go the West end everywhere else is actually quite cheap

Very nearly picked up the table, ash tray, chairs and table cloth as we thoought it must have been for everything!

Without wanting to sound jingoistic, you occasionally get that in 'proper' Europe if you're a foreigner. I've got a Milanese* mate - we went out drinking in Milan and although he let me pay for some drinks, he insisted that he handed the cash over. Otherwise the price would have gone up.

*that means someone from Milan, Italy, Dean. Althouh I'm not sure if I've spelt it correctly.

I read the first part of your post and got happy... I'm off to London on Thurs and Friday and I'm a bit skint...

I then read the second part and got depressed again as I'm going to the West End.
