Good question, and a good problem to have.
I'd be and was very happy with Fitzgibbon and Nicholson but Bateman is improving and he's not just a 'third wheel' in this squad. I think he's played himself into contention and he's useful if our previous 'first picks' need a freshen up. |

I agree that Bateman is improving but getting in that international squad is no hallmark of quality seeing as Chris Hill is bizarrely in there. |

Very true. Nicholson is not in the squad though and he is a rival for the same spot. I think Bateman's experience, aggression and utility are what Sam likes. |
