| I expected Thompson and Miski to come back with French and Walters maybe the week after so a little surprising.
Probably the most important game of the season, both in terms of performance and result.

| It's a good game to come back from a weeks break for. The players should be up for this against Wire.

| It feels like we'll find out in the first 10-15 minutes of this game if we're a chance of winning a third title on the spin (why aren't Sky banging on about 3peats, as they loved to do throughout 2021 btw?). My feeling has always been that it'll be this game we really target to start our run in and show our hand. If it's another damp squib, then my belief over these last few months, that we're just drifting, waiting for the business end, will be tested more than ever. I honestly think we'll put in a big performance though and win convincingly.
In terms of the team, it'll be pretty easy to select if all those guys are fit and ready to play. My big worry at the minute is what the issue is with Miski. Clearly something isn't right with that knee still and I think he's a massively underrated part of the way we want to play the game.

| Would like to see Farrimond on the bench, let’s ease French back into the team, if he breaks down again I think that’s our chances gone

| Need to be winning in good fashion if were going to do something this year. Good to see French back in the squad. I agree with the post above, I'd either bench Farrimond to bring him on later in the game or vice versa with French.

With regards to the Sky comment I think its a number of things: 1 - Its easy to get behind a team like Hull KR who the latest team to challenge 2 - Wigan have been underwhelming this season 3 - Nobody cares about the league leaders shield so the fact we have won it twice in a row is of little importance 4 - We are effectively 5 points behind Hull KR so its not like its neck and neck 5 - The focus towards play offs / grand final will shift late August

I think points 1 and 2 are probably the major reasons why we're not having the sickly '3peat' term attached to us at every turn, like we're back living in 2021. Funnily enough I heard Jenna Brooks mention us going for it on the Hundred cricket Coverage last night, when Field and Smith were guests.

| Discipline, my god it's bad, that last penalty from Byrne which led to the last Wire try was unforgivable. On the positive side they seemed a lot more switched on defensively and we looked pretty good when we decided to move the ball, some green shoots there and I'll happily take them.

| Walters transforms our pack because he offers a point of difference.
Easily our best forward tonight.
Leeming adopted a bit of mongrel he doesn’t usually have and looked much better for it.
Keighran easily man of match for me.
Still loads to work on but signs look positive props ran harder showed more enthusiasm.
Not concerned about Nsemba missing next week, despite the hype he’s still miles off a key player.
Tonight was positive in the main, hopefully we move forward again next week win lose or draw.
If we keep improving from this week we will be the team to beat in October.

| I'm watching the game back. As so often, it looks a bit better than it did live. I'm not a fan of being behind the goal, but that's away games. Half-time now, and so far, as at the game, impressed with Keighran's efforts, and much less so with Harry Smith. And Zach, of course. Signs of some green shoots between AK and Farrimond?

| Walters adds a lot to the team, all effort and plays 80 if needed. I thought Havard was better last night, Smith and O'Neil both pushing the ref with their indiscipline, I thought Smith was heading to the bin when he would not shut up, another ref would have binned him
