Very sad to hear about the passing of one of our greatest full backs. A talented sympathetic teacher, always deferential and an absolute dynamo for the Saints Past Players Association. Sadly missed by all who knew him.
He worked with my father for a short while and got me the whole first team autographs,
Some great names in there, Duggie Greenall, Alan Prescott, Stan McCormich, Bill Finnan etc. I always considered him a mate 'cos he knew my dad. I'm a bit upset about this sad news.
